In 1986, won a seat as a Member of Parliament for Bombali Central one Constituency. Starting 1996-2002, Minority Leader of the House of Parliament. In 2007, Leader of the Majority party in the Parliament and Leader of Government Business. As of 2010, appointed as Sierra Leone’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.
